Job Description

Airswift is seeking a Contracts Manager to work with one of our clients in the oil and gas industry in Calgary AB on a 12-month contract.



The Supply Chain Commercial Specialist will have the primary role of providing strategy and planning to deliver the Asset Contracts and Asset readiness requirements. This Asset Readiness will be aligned to the Asset Management System (AMS) and specifically Manage Supply Chain (MSC), to achieve top quartile performance. This will require leadership, strong relationship management skills, broad networking and solid Contracting and Procurement skills.


  • HSSE leadership to portfolio of contracts, align HSSE and contracting requirements, and integrate with the broader team to support the delivery of the Safest Project on Earth.
  • the Asset contracting plan as per schedule and execute all contracting requirements on time to ensure the Asset is ready for the operate phase.
  • an in-depth understanding Company Canada contracting demand, as well as local/regional market conditions and price levers.
  • contracting strategies, tactics and contracts in accordance with the Contracting and Procurement Procedures Manual including all governance requirements.
  • Contract Management Teams and associated Contract Management Plans for Asset contracts.
  • in the development and maintenance of the Contracts Management relationship between the Company Canada and Contractor teams throughout contract lifecycles
  • and share best practices, work processes, systems and tools, based on experience gained in a portfolio of independent projects.
  • and execute Turnaround contracting strategies in line with business plans.

Strong preference for an individual that has excellent relationship skills, leadership in managing contractors and relevant Asset contracting experience. Ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following commercial, technical and interpersonal aspects:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Contracting and Procurement experience
  • Demonstrated Asset Supply Chain Management experience
  • application, and continuous improvement of contracting and procurement processes and tools
  • management & governance
  • commercial acumen
  • internal and external stakeholders
  • communications at all levels of management both internally and externally
  • self-starter with a track record of delivery
